The Meat Market

Rows of butchers line an alleyway off the piazza in Addis Ababa. This is probably a prime location as all of the buses and taxis load and unload in this general area and the streets seems to always be bustling.
The carcasses hanging on the left are goats (although they call them sheep).
I didn't bother asking prices because I don't have a clue what meat costs in the U.S.!
You can sample the meat by asking the butcher to cut a small piece and either eat it raw (yep)
or sending it to the back to be cooked to order. If you like it, you buy as much as you need.
If you're looking for a goat's head, they have 'em. I saw one vendor pour several
out of a plastic garbage bag for a customer to consider.
Yep.
